Peking University Institute of Public Governance was inaugurated on September 11, 2019, with the approval of Peking University and with the support from Peking University School of Government and Beijing Offcn Education & Technology Co., Ltd. The institute is built on the advantages and rich resources of multiple majors at Peking University. We focus on a series of key issues about regional governance, state governance and global governance in the new era. The institute aims to attract all talents in the field, to build a world-class research network and Think Tank in the field of public governance, to promote the development of politics major and public management major at Peking University, to encourage international communication and cooperation, to satisfy the requirements of the state and the society in the new era, and to serve the modernization of the system and the capacity of state governance.

Meanwhile, the institute hopes to encourage multilateral communication through hosting influential high-level forums, forming a news center for global interaction in the realm of public governance. Our missions include conducting research activities, build and maintain an academic platform for communications, attracting and cultivating talents, and promoting research achievements.

The institute is constitute of Board of Directors, Academic Committee, and Development Committee. Additionally, we hired a group of retired officials who have ample experience and theoretical knowledge in public governance to be the honorary experts. They would provide guidance to the academic development as well as the overall development of the institute from a higher perspective.
