April 25, Assistant Professor Xiao Ma and Yanjun Liu were invited to attend the “Reviewing the Modernization of Governance” seminar held at Beijing Foreign Studies University. This seminar was part of a series of academic conferences on fighting COVID-19 that the institute members have attended. It covered three major topics: the national governance system, the capacity of governance, and interaction between the nation and the society. Scholars from more than 10 top Chinese universities attended and joined the discussion. They analyzed the China experience of governance and raised specific suggestions on facing the urgent situation.
