On April 29th, the Institute held the 2021 invited experts symposium at the Liao Kai Yuan Building. Former Peking University Council Chair Ren Yanshen, former deputy leader of leading group of central rural work Yuan Chunqing, former Beijing mayor Meng Xuenong, the former vice president of Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympic Games (BOCOG) Jiang Xiaoyu, former vice minister of the United Front Department of the CPC Central Committee Chen Xiqing, chairman of institute of state governance studies of Peking University Wang Puqu, director of the Institute Yan Jirong, and deputy directors of the Institute Yan Jie and Huang Huang attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the deputy director of the Institute Li Haiyan.

At the meeting, Yan Jirong reported the work progress of the institute since its establishment to the experts and introduced the key work deployment of the institute this year in detail.

The invited experts listened to the report and said full affirmation to the research work. Around the research and academic activities, they launched a heated discussion and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions about education and publish.

The symposium further expanded the breadth and depth of the institute's development, and had a long-term guiding significance for the development of the institute in the future.
